At SwiftFix, we believe that your data is yours alone. Our extension is built with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy, ensuring that we never see, collect, or store your personal information.
1. Information Collection and Use
- No Personal Data: SwiftFix does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII), such as your name, email address, IP address, or location.
- No Tracking or Analytics: We do not use any analytics tools, tracking pixels, or cookies to monitor your behavior.
- No Background Monitoring: The extension only activates when you explicitly use a shortcut or context menu item. It does not monitor your browsing activity in the background.
2. How Your Data Is Handled
Your privacy is protected through the following local and direct processing methods:
- Local Storage: Your API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) are stored exclusively in your browser’s local sandboxed storage. We cannot access these keys.
- Direct Communication: When you "fix" a piece of text, the extension sends that specific snippet directly from your browser to the AI provider you have configured. This communication happens over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- No Developer Servers: Your text never passes through any servers owned or operated by SwiftFix.
